Tom Lynn from Fire & Hemlock- probably a more accurate drawing than the previous one, [link] . Turns out he's not ALL that old, after all. XD

Of course, I drew his hair too light, and his anorak is probably the wrong color, but...whatever.

The title/quote's from the book, of course. I was planning to draw that cute little squishing-Polly's-face-into-his-anorak scene, but the anatomy and all that was TOO MUCH, so I decided to just draw his face instead. Ohhh well.

Hm, now that I look at it again, I think the technique quite resembles :iconcrazysharly:'s stuff. Her gallery's neato, so check it out!

Yeah, I didn't really mean to make his hair look grey. I think eventually I'll redo this and draw the whole scene. It'll be so worth it if I can get the anatomy right. >_o

Oh, for sure. <33 Ima +watch you so I can see it if you do any more Fire&Hemlock work! I was actually just thinking of doing some fanart myself. I reread the book for probably the fifth time, and FINALLY understood the ending. XD I suppose now that I know Faerie lore so much better it was easier for me to understand...you know, the Faerie Queen, the tithe and all that. Before that I got lost when she burned the hay by the picture. XDD

I was VERY sad when I searched 'Tan Coul' on dA and got NO results. D:

Haha, yay! Now I'm going to have to read the book again, hehe. DO do some fanart! There's nowhere near enough of it out there.

I really have to read up on all that stuff...I've only read Fire & Hemlock twice, and I don't know anything about the Faerie Queen, although I did understand the book SLIGHTLY better after taking a class on Irish myth & folklore...

Ooh, draw Tan Coul, then! Haha. XD
